cool animals that are not extinct

I found this in another science blog that I follow and wanted to share it because it is some good news among all of the bad.

This is an Armoured Mistfrog, thought to have been wiped out by the chytid fungus that has devestated amphibians. It has been recently rediscovered in Northern Austrailia.

The Okapi have been recently seen again in the Congo.
They have strips like zebras but are actually closely related to giraffes. They are very elusive creatures.

This is a very cool video of triops. They are shrimp-like creatures. They were thought to be extinct in the UK but have recently been found again in Scotland.
