Well, fall has set in as of Monday. It is colder in the mornings and has even begun to rain. I'm glad that last weekend I went camping at Crater Lake, it will probably be the last camping of the season.
My thumb is healing well, the wound closed about a week ago and now new baby skin has formed while older skin is sloughing away. I use lots of moisturizer to facilitate healing and am looking into silicon creme to help heal the scar. Apparently they give the stuff to burn victims to help healing. I have also started to bike to work again. I appreciate the rides because I feel much more connected to the outdoors and the seasons.
With fall already here I need to get a winter garden going ASAP. I think I will do the same as last year, green such as kale- maybe broccoli?
Andy insisted I listen to a Wilco album, Summerteeth. I have been listening to that today and quite enjoy it. Another new band I like is Passenger. Itunes has a new 'genius' feature that creates playlists and I really like it- it makes creating a decent playlist so much easier. Before, it was nearly impossible with over 8000 songs that span quite a wide range of music genres.
The Oregon Zoo has a special frog exihit until the end of December that I want to go to. I'd also like to take Jake, Katie, and Aiden to see it. Maybe go after Thanksgiving and see the zoo lights too?
