House
Well my landlord informed me of her plans to cut my yard in half and build another house on it. I have a big yard that I don't use except for my garden so I won't miss it much. I'll have to move my garden which kinda sucks. I wasn't too happy about this at first but I think I'm ok with it now. Plus, she will give me and my roommate a month of rent for free to compensate for the construction. Speaking of roommates, I have a new one scheduled to arrive next Tuesday. His name is Andrew and he is a second year law transfer student. He is 28. We have only emailed each other and spoke on the phone so I don't even know what he looks like. Angie said I was stupid, and yes, I may regret this, but I have been looking for a month and a half. I'm tired of showing the place to people who end up not wanting it (or me not wanting them to move in.) I told Andrew what I expected in a roommate (ability to put up with my eco-friendliness, semi-clean, easy going) and tried to be as clear as possible. This also gets my former roommate, Julia, off of my back. I really like Julia but was bugged that she expected me to find someone in August. It is much easier to find someone in September. But I did talk to her about this and she apologized so hopefully things will be cool with us once again.

Hey! I retracted the "stupid" comment and opted for the whole "Living with someone for a year is a big commitment and maybe meeting them first would have been a good idea" stance, remember?!? :P
oh, yes, I had forgotten that. I agree with you in that meeting this person would be best. At least MB is checking personal and rental references. She even requested a bank statement from him to prove he could pay rent.
